Beam storege resumed at 0:29 AM, just after the linac study.
Beam current of 389.1 mA was achieved at 5:08 AM (beam lifetime: 13 minutes, average vacuum pressure: 5.0E-9 Torr).
Vacuum conditioning and survey of the beam optics (by measuring the beam response induced by an excitation of steering magnets) was performed.
Progress of vacuum conditioning by beams (from
Oct. 1 to Oct. 8. 4:00 PM).
Average ring pressure (divided by the beam current) and the product of the
beam current and beam lifetime are plotted as a function of the time-integrated
stored current.
Control room in this morning.
Stored beam current in the daytime.
Beam filling rate during 9:00-9:20 AM.
Vacuum pressure in the storage ring at 9:21
AM.
Beam current: 372 mA, average pressure: 4.4E-9 Torr.
Beam profile observed with a visible-light
profile monitor (at BL-27).
At 9:23 AM, beam current: 357 mA.
