Preliminary/Beginner Experiment (P)

Term of validity Until either the end of March or the end of September, after one year from the date of approval.
Reviewing process
  • Comment by the person in charge of the Experimental Station.
  • Reviewed by 3 referees.
  • Chairperson of PF-PAC
Point of reviewing
  • Scientific value.
  • Technical practicability (Concreteness of the plan).
  • Capability of the experimental group (Past records).
  • elevancy to the whole experimental plan.
  • The necessity and the validity of preliminary/beginner experiment.
Remarks
  • Beam time should be less than 120 hours.
  • A person in charge of the experiment can take one proposal for one examination.
  • Each experiment station can take less than 3 proposals for one examination.
  • Experienced synchrotron radiation users can be research team members of this type of proposal. In this case, the experienced SR users are requested to consult about the experiment and report the progress of consultation to the spokesperson of the beamline on his/her request. The experienced SR users have the responsible for the progress of the experiment with the spokesperson of the beamline.
  • Discussion with either the spokesperson of the beamline or the experienced synchrotron radiation users who will be research team members, is required before the submission of the proposal.
