Special 1 (S1)

Term of validity	3-5 years from the date of approval (judged by PF-PAC).
Reviewing process	Interview by members of the PF-PAC (only the proposal which is accepted by the Research Program Study Group for S1 can apply).
Point of reviewing	The decision is made based on the recommendations of the Resarch Program Study Group (A score not given).
Remarks	The experimental group has a priority to use the beamline up to 50%. They need to not only bear the responsibility for mechanical maintenance and management but also give a support to the other users after the construction and the start-up operation. The progress should be reported at the annual PF Symposium and evaluated by PF-PAC. Outputs including the publication list, poster presentaion at PF Symposium and User Reports in the PF Activity Report should be summarized on a web site. Research group is expected to re-submit another proposal for S2 Category after the expiration of its validity.
Budget arrangement	Cost of remodeling/construction of the beamline/experimental apparatus. Experiment expenses (as the case may be proposed group share the part or the entire expenses). Travel expenses (only for domestic users).
