Access from foreign countries to KEK Tsukuba Campus

There are three international airports around KEK as follows;

1. Narita International Airport is located 48 km South East of KEK Tsukuba campus. Most International flights to Tokyo arrive at Narita. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes by the Airport Limousine Bus from Narita to Tsukuba Center and the fare is 2540JPY for one way.

2. Tokyo International Airport at Haneda is located 65 km South West of KEK Tsukuba campus. A new International Terminal has just opened and new international flights to Haneda become available from Oct. 31, 2010. It takes about 2 hour by the Airport Limousine Bus from Haneda to Tsukuba Center and the fare is 1800JPY for one way.

3. Ibaraki Airport is located 31 km East of KEK Tsukuba campus. It is the nearest but only the international flights from Seoul and Shanghai are operated at present. It takes about 1 hour by the Airport Limousine Bus from Ibaraki Airport to Tsukuba Center and the fare is 1000JPY for one way. From Tsukuba Center to KEK, local bus service is available.
